Version 2019.1.1
Release Notes (Release Date: 2019-02-28)
New Features
- When opening the application for the first time after upgrading, you will see a summary of changes in that version.
- You can also view these notes manually by clicking Help -> Release Notes from the application's main menu.
- New "Private Projects" functionality has been implemented:
- When you create a new project, you can now designate it as Private or Public, and also set the project's owner (public projects can also be owned by *ALL).
- You will not be able to see private projects you don't own at all in your list.
- You will be able to see all public projects, regardless of owner.
- The projects grid on the right-hand pane also contains two additional columns,"Type" (Private or Public) and "Owner".
- For public projects which you own, or are owned by *ALL, functionality will be the same as in previous versions.
- You will be able to view all details of public projects which are owned by another user, but you will not be able to change anything. This includes deleting or modifying scenarios, tests, or actions underneath those projects. You will,
however, be able to execute tests in those projects.
These projects will be indicated by a "lock" icon to the right of the project's name in the left-hand-pane, and all buttons for the unavailable actions will appear
"greyed out".
- If you try to execute a test queue containing a test you do not have permission to execute, the test queue will fail.
- When viewing test execution details for a "Pause" action, you will now be able to see the Instructions for that action.
- When viewing test execution details for an action that is not a "Pause" action, the "Notes" tab will no longer be visible in the right hand pane.
- The position in which an action was executed is now visible in the list of actions on the test execution history list.
- This version of the application ships with an updated version of the Chrome driver, to ensure maximum compatibility with your version of Google Chrome.
- When moving or copying a scenario to another project, where a scenario with that name already exists in the destination, you are now given the option to overwrite the existing scenario, or automatically give the scenario a new name in the destination
project.
- When moving or copying a test to another scenario, where a test with that name already exists in the destination, you are now given the option to overwrite the existing test, or automatically give the test a new name in the destination scenario.
- The "Enter QBE" action now provides an option to Append Text.
Corrections
- When executing a "Select Grid Format" action, when there were no formats on the grid, the action would previously fail. This has been corrected.
- When viewing the execution history for a test, all REPEAT actions used to appear at the very end of the execution history, regardless of in which position they ran. This has been corrected, and REPEAT actions now appear in the correct
positions.
- Copying a test from the Swiftest application used to cause two issues to be logged in the Action Center of DWS Dimension Hub for the new test (one for "Test Changed" and one for "Test Unexecuted"). This has been corrected,
and now only "Test Unexecuted" will be logged.
- If there were multiple issues for a test under the Action Center of DWS Dimension Hub, and you executed that test successfully, previously only the most recent issue would be resolved. This has been corrected, and all outstanding issues will be
marked as resolved.
- Deleting a test did not clear any outstanding issues for that test from DWS Dimension Hub, resulting in a situation where those issues were orphaned and could never be cleared. This has been corrected.
- Under rare circumstances, executing a "Form Exit" action would fail to click the correct item in E1, if there were multiple elements on the page with the same internal ID. The software has been changed to account for this situation,
so that the correct item will be clicked, even if multiple elements have the same ID.
- Under certain circumstances, screenshots would be created seemingly randomly, without being tied to test executions. This has been corrected.
- The "QBE" action now respects the Filtering slider on the Select Actions list,so you won't be able to select it when it's not appropriate. Doing this would've resulted in a test that could never pass.
